Industry Kitchen South Street Seaport – Lunch by the East River

Wall Street is an iconic neighborhood in Lower Manhattan. It’s always featured in major movies and TV shows. Tourists and locals flock this area to check out what the hype is all about. If you’re in the area, make sure to check out Industry Kitchen South Street Seaport. It serves New American cuisine and it sits right next to the East River which offers amazing views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge.

The Backdrop and Atmosphere at Industry Kitchen

Industry Kitchen in South Street Seaport is located right on the pier right under FDR drive. Here you’ll be able to see right across the East River and see Brooklyn Bridge Park and both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. There’s also outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the warm weather. Along the pier, you’ll see tourists and locals walking by, running and even work out classes. It’s a pretty neat setting. Be sure to be prepared to wait for a seat. It’s guaranteed to get busy, especially on the weekends. A lot of offices are located near the restaurant, so lunch tends to pick up.

Our Meal at Industry Kitchen South Street Seaport

Industry Kitchen serves New American cuisine that ranges from wood-fired pizzas, seafood, pasta and meat. We checked out the restaurant during lunch. We got there around 11:30 and it was pretty empty. The restaurant really picked up quick once it hit 12PM. We started off with their season dips which was served with bread. For our main entrees, we had their hangar steak which was amazing and cooked perfectly. We also had their salmon entree. This was topped with a seaweed salad and the salmon was seared on the outside, but raw on the inside which was really good. If you want the salmon to be cooked all the way, just let your server know.
